Julie Panepinto

Julie Panepinto, MD, MS, is a Professor of Pediatric Hematology and the Director of the Center for Clinical Effectiveness Research of the Children’s Research Institute at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She also serves as Vice Chair of Value, Department of Pediatrics, and a co-director of the Patient Centered Research Unit of the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s Children’s Research Institute. Dr. Panepinto is a Principal Investigator in PEPR for the MCW award site. She serves on several national panels including as the Chair of the American Society of Hematology’s Guideline Oversight Committee, a member of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s Sickle Cell Disease Advisory Committee, an associate editor for Blood Advances. Dr. Panepinto serves as a grant reviewer for the NIH, the American Society of Hematology and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
Dr. Panepinto received her BS degree from the University of Notre Dame, and her MD from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant at the University of Colorado Health Sciences in Denver, Colorado, where she also earned a Master’s of Science in Public Health.
