Aleisha James

NIH Senior Grants Management Specialist, Steering Committee Member

Aleisha S. James, MPH, has been a Grants Management Specialist at the NIH for nine years.  Prior to joining the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) in 2015, she served as a grants manager at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).  Besides managing the PEPR program, Aleisha serves as a Senior Specialist, a Team Coordinator, and the expert liaison for the NIAMS Small Business portfolio. Aleisha received her B.S. degree in Nutritional Sciences and her Master’s in Public Health from Howard University.
